Shoalhaven Heads - South Coast New South Wales

A large post & beam, two storey/three bedroom family home on a small battle-axe block - strawbale in the suburbs. The project also features an onsite waste water recycling system and large tanks to collect and use rainwater.

The home is an Owner-Builder project and features some beautiful timber work.

	The strawbale walls were raised with the aid of a working bee facilitated by us. A rather difficult and time consuming job to stack and fit the bales high in second storey walls and gables.

 

	We completed the external rendering - two coats of clay with a finish coat of lime - as well as two coats of sprayed on clay render inside, the owners opted to finish the last coat of clay internally themselves.
	External lime finish coat is going on manually with trowels, floats, sponges.....
